Our Calm Shapes collection is selected with care and years of experience dealing in vintage and antique furniture.

You might also know us as Studio Gespuis. Calm Shapes, a derivative of that, revolves around furniture that makes your surroundings feel calm and comfortable. The natural materials, patinated over time, as well as their great shapes, give our items their unique and distinctive feel. 

Since 2015 we've been dealing in vintage furniture as Studio Gespuis. After some years working from our gallery in the city centre of Alkmaar, we outgrew the store. From 2019 onwards, we work from our warehouse and ship all over the world. I was taught from early age to appreciate and reuse old furniture. Additionally, I have studied graphic design in Amsterdam. That's when Studio Gespuis was born. Our Calm Shapes is a collection made by me personally.
