This cabinet was made for or purchased in 1889 by the first owner of townhouse (with garden house) in Bergen op Zoom. The house was built for industrial iron foundry owner 'Carolus Johannes Asselbergs', both the house and garden house are listed Dutch National monuments. The cabinet was used as utility cabinet in the orangery. The cabinet is in all original and unrestored and good functioning condition.
