Bé Niegeman-Brand 1950s Goed Wonen model NG-11 arm chairs
Early and rare chairs, hard to find especially as set. The chairs were designed by Bé Niegeman-Brand in the 1950s for Goed Wonen. The same chair is part of the collection of the Centraal Museum Utrecht. This set was reupholstered in the 1970s, with one chair receiving an (invisible) repair to the front post. The set is currently in need of new upholstery.
Bé Niegeman-Brandals was a student of Johan Niegeman and Mart Stam. In 1947 she married her former teacher, the (interior) architect Johan Niegeman. Bé / Bea was associated with Goed Wonen until 1970.
A unique, personally signed copy of her 1958 book can be purchased with the chairs upon request.
